Louisiana Congressman John Fleming (R-LA) on Neal Asbury’s Truth For America Show June 18th

Louisiana Congressman John Fleming Congressman John C. Fleming, M.D., a family physician from Minden, LA, was elected to Congress in December 2008.  Fleming represents Louisiana’s Fourth Congressional District, which covers the parishes of Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, DeSoto, Red River, Winn, Sabine, Natchitoches, Grant, Vernon, Beauregard and Allen.  Fleming is focused on sound economic policy to grow and create jobs, reducing the tax burden for all Americans, sensible health care reforms, a sound energy policy and representing Northwest Louisiana’s traditional values.

John Fleming’s primary goal is to uphold America’s constitution and is working in Washington with a single purpose: to represent the people as a servant leader.

Fleming is a member of two House Committees – Armed Services & Natural Resources.

Through these Committees, Fleming will be able to focus on the biggest economic drivers for the 4th Congressional District.  His work on the Armed Services Committee will allow for the future security of Barksdale Air Force Base, Ft. Polk and the other military installations, both in Northwest Louisiana and throughout the state.  Serving on the Natural Resources committee positions him to support the maximization of the Haynesville Shale Project, which will provide a source of alternative energy in natural gas and create thousands of jobs for 4th District families.

John is married to his wife Cindy for 30 years and they have four adult children. His background as a Medical Officer in the United States Navy laid a path for his medical practice. His accomplished background as a family physician awarded him the Louisiana Family Doctor of the Year in 2007.

He has served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and School Department Director at First Baptist of Minden. His medical practice, and several non-medical businesses that he owns provide over 500 jobs to Louisianans.
